Introduction
My husband and I have been trying to conceive since getting married over 3 years ago. We never imagined the struggle we would endure. After a few months of TTC I was diagnosed with stage 4 severe endometriosis, a septal uterus, borderline PCOS, and I was not ovulating regularly. I had surgery to remove my extensive endometrial lesions and have my septum opened. I did 8 months of a suppressive injectable medication to keep my endom from growing back and then started Clomid therapy.
Tests, Procedures, Medical consultations
My previous md allowed me to continue on Clomid without any monitoring for 11 cycles. I then moved on to a new ob/gyn and started again with 6 more cycles of Clomid. On our last cycle we were so excited to find we were pregnant! We experienced a devastating loss at 7 weeks and was referred to a fertility speacialist. We suffered a second loss at about 4-5 weeks - just shortly after a positive pregnancy test. We moved on with more fertility treatments. Doing injectable fertility medications and attempting 3 IUI cycles without success. We have now returned to Clomid over the last 2 months and are hoping for success again with that.
Trying-to-Conceive (TTC) experience
Our journey so far has been far from what we expected - we thought we would have 2 children easily by now. I have found it very hard watching my sister and every single one of my friends and co-workers have successful pregnancies and give birth to beautiful babies. Don't get me wrong I have been very excited for them all and have enjoyed their children but have had to deal with the emotional toll it takes on me. It is hard to be happy for others succces when you are fighting back tears and grieving your own losses/inability to conceive.
Charting Experience
I am only starting my second month of charting so am still learning! I have enjoyed charting and following my cycle from day to day. Hopefully my charting will result in a positive result!
