Introduction
My husband and I have been very blessed. So many of our friends were having problems getting pregnant that it prompted us to go ahead and try. Three weeks later we were pleasantly surprised to have a positive pregnancy test. I had a very easy uncomplicated pregnancy and delivered a healthy 6 lb 15 oz baby boy via c-section. He was breech and this was the safest route for him. During the c-section I overheard my doctor discussing putting back in a fallopian tube and grew concerned. The next day my OBGYN followed up and informed me I have an unicornuate uterus (half a uterus) and one good fallopian tube. She told me I was lucky to conceive so quickly and to carry a baby full term. She also informed me I was high risk for ectopic pregnancy because of the right deformed fallopian tube...that was put back in during the c-section. I wasn't too worried about my diagnosis at the time but now we have been trying to conceive for 10 months and nothing has happened. I love charting and taking the OPK tests but every month I am disappointed to find a negative pregnancy test and have mother nature visit again. I visit the doctor in 2 weeks and am close to ovulation again. If no pregnancy this month we will begin all the test to determine what is going on. I also have PCOS in my family so there is a good chance I have that as well.
Trying-to-Conceive (TTC) experience
It has been a bumpy road for me and my husband. Although we are great together we both are sad to be experiencing this. We have both dreamed of 3 or 4 kiddos and wonder if that will ever happen for us. He has been a great support to me especially when I am hard on myself.
Charting Experience
This is my first month charting on fertility friend but off line I have been charting for 2 months. It is hard for me to determine exactly when I am ovulating based on the chart alone. The OPK's tell me when my LH surge is happening so based off that I can see it on my chart. I love that fertility friend does all the hard work for me :)
Other Thoughts?
I am positive that I will be pregnant again and trust that God is doing this in his time. I just hope his time is soon :)
