Introduction
I am a healthy 29 year old women who has experienced one miscarriage. My husband is 32 years old and also healthy. We have been frustrated with the length of our trying to conceive efforts although we know they are normal.

Tests, Procedures, Medical consultations
After trying to conceive for about 6 months, I decided to see a naturopathic doctor to maximize my health. Both my husband and I wanted to try all natural routes first before attempting any fertility treatments. My naturopath and my chiropractor were great in helping me optimize my health and start tracking my temperature. I started accupuncture after about 7 months ttc on the recommendation of a friend and my chiropractor. I started taking some homeopathics related to the reproductive cycle after about 9 months ttc. I also had bloodwork to check my LH and FSH levels at that time. I had my first positive pregnancy after my 10th month ttc. I miscarried that pregnancy at 7 weeks. At that time, I saw my family doctor and received to ultrasounds to verify that I had naturally miscarried completely. My doctor recommended waiting 3 cycles before TTC again but my husband and I read multiple conflicting opinions regarding wait time and ultimately decided to trust my body. I have now had a positive pregnancy test on the second cycle after miscarriage.

Trying-to-Conceive (TTC) experience
When my husband and I started ttc we both thought that we would be the couple that it happened for quickly. After about three months, we started to feel somewhat frustrated, although we knew that it was still early and very normal for it to take up to a year. Many of our friends were starting to ttc at the same time and we were all sharing our worries together. Two of our great friends did conceive quickly but then miscarried. They later conceived a healthy child. As the journey continued, our frustration wavered but we stayed positive most of the time. It helped that we had friends going through the same thing at the same time. I must admit that I sometimes felt bitter/jealous when we heard about people who got pregnant quickly or without "trying" . It was hard to always feel happy for them. When we got our first BPT after 10 months TTC we were super excited! My husband was more cautiously optimistic than I was. I was sure that since it had taken us a while to get there, all would be well and go smoothly. We were pretty upset when we lost the baby. We kept telling ourselves that it was for the best and that is was nature's way of sorting things out but it was still really difficult/upsetting/heartbreaking. To make matters even more difficult, we found out right after that four of our friends were pregnant, two of whom had only tried for about 1 or 2 months and one of whom claimed to have only had sex once in the last 6 months (scary!). Anyway, after some grieving time (different for everyone) we started to move forward with a positive attitude. It really helped that we had friends who had been through similar experience who we could talk to. I decided to trust my body to know when it was ready to conceive again, so we didn't use any protection when we started having intercourse again. On the second cycle after the miscarriage, we have a BPT! It is early days so we are excited and also nervous given our previous miscarriage. Here's hoping all goes well this time.

Charting Experience
I liked charting because I like having information! It helped to plan intercourse and to see patterns in my cycles.
