Introduction
After 3 years of marriage, we finally decided we would like to try to start a family. This is only my second month TTC and I'm utterly shocked!!!
Tests, Procedures, Medical consultations
We had struggled with mild erectile dysfunction and my husband had un-descended testicles as an infant, so we knew we might have an uphill battle. I am overweight and have hypertension. I went to my physician before TTC and got on appropriate blood pressure medication and had a full exam. As soon as my physician gave me the go-ahead I quit smoking and caffeine completely.
Trying-to-Conceive (TTC) experience
TTC was sometimes stressful, but mostly exciting. Again, I am fortunate not to have years of TTC. At first it was sex all the time and it felt so special--with a purpose. It was a really exciting time. After awhile the sex slowed down a bit as it became a little more like a chore. We decided not to worry and stress too much about the variables.
Charting Experience
Charting my TTC journey was very helpful to me. It made me feel like I was in control with up to the date information. I never thought I could learn SOOO much about my period!!!
The Internet
Immediately after decided to TTC I scoured the internet for any helpful information and found fertility friend. I starting charting right away. I have searched numerous sites for information and found it for the most part very helpful. There are differing opionions on many sites...
Other Thoughts?
I feel truly blessed to have been successful. Good fortune to all those TTC!!!
