We were on our TTC journey for 30 cycles to have our first together. I have a pre-teenage son from my previous marriage. Our journey ended on 4/10/08 and we do so with no regrets. We feel we have survived, not only as husband and wife, but as a family. Below is details of our rollercoaster.
Nov '05: Stopped BCP

Feb '06: TSH level: 9.91, Prescribed 25 mcg Levothyroxin HIV test negative
Apr '06: TSH level: 10.32, Prescribed 50 mcg Levothyroxin, Started charting
May '06: Prescribed 75mcg Levothroxin
Jun '06: TSH level: 5.07, Prescribed 100mcg Levothyroxin
Jul '06: Went to 1st Gyn, normal pap. Dr. refused to do any testing.
1st SA 7/31/06
motile sperm count 2 million,

DH started fertility blend.
Aug '06: TSH level: .84 Went to 2nd Gyn - was told no chance with 2 mill count

Mar '07: - HSG showed no blockages. Everything clear. Cervix curved to right
Apr '07: -Cycle #17 IUI # 2, Follie 18.5mm (Right side) & lining 6.5mm on CD 10, OPK positive late on day 10,11. IUI on CD 12, sperm count 10 million - April 12th BFN
May '07 - Seeing Dr. Mohyi. Start 100 mg Clomid CD4-CD8. Cycle #18 - Follie 21mm (right side) & lining 8 mm on CD 11. Two smaller follies on R side (12mm & 9mm). HCG Shot night of CD 11. Follie 26mm & 10mm lining on CD 13. IUI #3a on CD 13 - sperm count 14 million. IUI #3b on CD 14 sperm count 15 million
Jun '07-Aug '07 - On a break. In therapy to accept our infertility & end TTC.
Aug '07 Normal Pap
Sept '07-Jan '08 Extended TTC break due to new job. Using charting for Natural Family Planning to avoid.
Oct '07 Started TTC naturally again. Labwork results:

Jan '08 Cycle #28 - u.s = lining 4 mm, over 10 follicles on each ovary. Start 150 mg Clomid CD 4-CD8. IUI # 4 1/30/08 Follie 26mm R side, 2 @ 13mm R side, 12mm lining CD 13. Sperm count in sealed envelope until for about a week. Was 11 million. BFN
Feb '08 Appt with new PCP since new insurance covers 50% got authorization with new OB/GYN infertility specialist after waiting 17 days.
Mar '08 Met with Dr # 7 - who said we had no chance, IVF or surgery for DH was our only option. Waiting for yet another referall for Dr # 8 an RE - was told 7 to 10 days for authorization to go through.....in the meantime will save pennies again to drop another Grand with previous RE. Dr. Mohyi - will probably be June before we do another IUI.
Apr '08 On April 3, met with Dr. Cassendenti, she also confirmed that due to our history, our diagnosis and our treatment, that IVF is our only option. Cost for one $12,250. Shared Risk was $23,000.
7/23 - After night of heavy bleeding u/s showed empty sac measuring 5 weeks, based on previous LMP, I was 7 weeks pregnant. Beta was 5,170
7/31 - Delivered sac and tissue
On non IUI months. I used to drink Green Tea and take 2600 mg Evening Primrose from CD 1 until CD9 and 1300mg EPO from CD10- to O. I took Mucinex from CD 5 until O. I take baby asprin every day. I also used preseed for BD from CD 11 until CD 13. Instead cups were used regularly throughout the cycle.
We resolved our infertility by choosing to end it.
